Thank you so much. I enjoyed our visit and the stroll up and down your road. I even enjoyed visiting over the chores after dinner ;-) There is, really, nothing more delightful than working alongside a friend and sister in the Lord ;-)

I cannot thank you enough for this post!! My heart has been aching and I have been terribly worried and anxious. I just got the book IF and I love that quote your shared! My husband's work has gotten bad - they threaten to fire him and work him long and hard hours. :( If he is fired, my son, who has a ton of medical issues, we would have no insurance. We would not be able to afford the house we are in. And oh so much more to worry about. Thank you for this post. I will cry out to Him.

Jennie

Thankyou for sharing your world with us and for underlining that family matter before anything. Mine are just going out into the world - two girls at University (I kissed my eldest goodbye yesterday) and a son in his final year at school. Looking at your children having so much fun on your walk, and relaxing on the lawn brought back happy memories of when my children were smaller and the sun always shone . . .

Suzy

Thankyou for reaching out with such words of comfort and peace.
You are blessed and you bless others in turn.

Hello Jewels dear. Thank you for taking me along on your walk. I thoroughly enjoyed it. My favourite photos were of the children running to meet you. I have strong memories of doing that with my mum. I'm so happy to see James is healthy again.

Please tell Rosie I said hello and thanks for the lovely kind words. Hanno says hello to all of you, I read him your email. I'll try to write back tomorrow.

Much love across the miles.

Good day Jewel, thank you for such a beautiful example of in our surrender and weakness, we find our strength in the Lord. A real and lasting strength. xoxox Clarice

Tina

Thank you Jewels.

Thank you so much for that wonderful, but so simple and useable advice.
Now I'm off to do my dishes.

Love Kate

Ann Voskamp (Holy Experience)

Thank you for the walk, Jewels... Pilgrimaging with Him is life's deepest joy...

May your day be saturated with more of Him and all is beauty...

All's grace,
Ann

Tina

Dearest Jewels, how I needed this! Thank you for your prayers too. It felt like this post was written especially for me and my situation. The Lord keeps showing me the same Scripture..."perfect love casts out all fear" and now I read it here too. You are such a blessing to so many...may God continue to give you a rich and peaceful life, full of joy and blessings.

With Much Love,
Tina xxxx

Jennifer

Thank you, again, Jewels, for speaking right to the need of the moment. We serve an awesome God who truly does know each one of us and what our unique needs are. I was telling the children yesterday that our God does not sit somewhere off in the distance just watching. He is intimately involved in our every moment.

Would it be alright if I printed off a few sentences here and there so that I might remind myself of what is needful when my chest is heavy and I feel I can't breath? :)

Thank you for that lovely walk and the sweet fellowship over chores and supper. It reminds me of many favorite scenes throughout the states of New England in which I make my own home.

Blessings to you and your family today, Jennifer

Annette

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this post...I felt like you were speaking just to me.

The part about leaving it all up to Him- bringing my concerns and laying them at His feet, has been difficult for me- partly because I feel the desperate need for everything to be right again, and partly because I (apparently) appear indifferent to my situation if I take rest and find peace in Him. I am learning to let it go and leave it up to the Lord, however.

My recent pregnancy included partial placenta previa, which resolved within a couple of months, and ended in my first (emergency) c-section (due to fetal stress and pressure on the cord. It had a knot and was wrapped around his little neck and body several times!) All that after 10 very uneventful deliveries (7 at a wonderful homelike birthing center, where you get to go home shortly after delivery).

We have dairy goats, too..and we love taking walks on our country roads and in the woods...I am so thankful for a peaceful and beautiful place to live, think, pray, and raise our family.

Thanks, Jewels, for your encouraging words. I will treasure them and put them on paper so that I can go back to them again and again.

Blessings to you today,
Annette

Tanya

Thank you so much.
I don't know what else to say than thank you.
What a beautiful life you have. In a way, it makes me sad that I've never heard someone speak(or write) like you before. Especially in times when I've needed it. I grew up so differently yet so desire the wonderful, simple, beautiful life that you speak of.
Thank you for sharing.

Kim

You have the most gorgeous photos. I always find them very relaxing when I visit your site. Thank you for sharing.

Dear Jewels,
I sit here with the tears flowing....you just have no idea, no idea at all how your post touched me today. My battle with fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue can be so disheartening, yet as I got a hair cut the other day, I was able to minister to the owner of the salon (she has the same thing). Hope...such a precious thing. Today, as my body was not cooperating with me at all, I checked in on your site, and I have been so greatly, so humbly blessed. I love the hymn "Grace For Every Need"...for God's grace is sufficient always, for every need we have. You, a stranger to me, ministered to me this morning. My little one climbed into my lap as I was reading. I read the captions under the pictures to him as I scrolled down. "Oh Mommy! Are those people real?" "Yes, son." "Mommy read more!!"
I got such a smile :-). I wish in real life I could bring over a loaf of banana bread or some of my bran muffins, sit with you a few minutes and tell you how much you have touched my life just by willing to share snippets of yours. Thank you, Jewels, for sharing with us. God be with you and your family always.

Mrs. Anna T

Thank you, dear Jewels. I loved taking this stroll with you. Thank you for the time you took to put in writing your beautiful thoughts about loving and trusting Him - how very important to remember.

Diana

Beautiful post. Just what I needed to read today. Thank you!

tammy

Dear Jewels, Thank you so much for the encouragement and all the lovelyness.

Brenna Kater, the Ocean Skater

I always enjoy your pictures :)

Jen

Hi again Jewels. This is the Jen that is the first commenter in this post.

I just wanted to let you know I wrote a little post today about how GOD is using you, in addition to a number of things, to help me gain an understanding of some things. If you get a chance, I'd love for you to take a look since I do mention you in it.

Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Jen :)

Lucille

Oh man...I am sitting here crying. Well, the walk didn't make me cry---it was everything before hand. How many times did you write about Acceptance equaling Peace? Did you realize subconsciously that I needed to see/hear/read that so many times before it sinks in????

Thank you Jewels. And for your prayers as well...

Betty

You are answered prayer Jewels. I so needed to be reminded not to worry and fret but instead to trust the LORD completely and leave all my cares with Him. And what a blessing it was to walk with you and take in the lovely countryside near your sweet home. Thank you Jewels for reminding me that family is my greatest treasure. A dear friend like you is a treasure to be cherished too! GOD Bless you and yours, Love, Betty

Kristianna

What a wonderful post! I truly felt as though I was walking along with you on your short journey.

Thank you, Jewels, it was a great start to my day.

This post was so beautifully written. You live in a beautiful place and you have a gorgeous family :)

Love your blog.

Dear Jewels, would you be so kind as to tell me where I can get a sling/baby carrier like the one your daughter in law is wearing? It looks so snuggly and I have a wee one coming very soon.

Your parenting model is one I want so badly to imitate. I very much imagine it is just how God parents/loves us. You are such a blessing. I was thinking of all the wisdom and advice in this post today and it so helped me.

God richly bless you!

Hi Tina, you caught me here at the computer :o)
Congratulations on your soon to arrive little one. How *exciting*. I know and love that wonderful anticipation so well. I miss it. About the carrier/wrap, if you click on the two highlighted words (which are links) right above the photos of Claire, it will take you right to *the site* where they have the wrap that she's wearing--they also have a good number of other wraps. And, the link next to it will take you to another wrap very similar to it (my favorite, actually, though I have both) the Moby Wrap. Pat your belly and whisper something sweet to the baby for me, okay?
Lovingly, Jewels
