Our precious little grandbaby boy made his way into the world on August 4th--which just happened to be Wesley's 24th birthday--at about 2:15 pm, and he's beyond-words-wonderful. Claire, did manage to make it to the hospital this time, but only just in the nick of time. She was only there about an hour before he made his grand exit/and simultaneous entrance, from his mama's womb to his mama's arms. The midwife that assisted was kind and caring, and all went wonderfully well. They were even able to come home about 7 hours after his was born, for which Claire and Wesley were immeasurably grateful. It was an answer to pray for Claire, to be be able to be back with Josie and Maggie so quickly. They bundled Georgie up and were home and snugged in before 10 pm on Tuesday night.
Claire's sitting beside me on the couch nursing Georgie, as I type. She is for certain, my very dear pal in life and motherhood . She and Wesley, Josie, and Maggie, came over for Wesley, and Georgie's, shared birthday supper (Georgie's to come later, via Claire) and celebration, tonight. All the little ones are dressed up in silks playing tea party (though it looks far more like "Babette's Feast"), and the house is a hive of (not very quiet) activity. God is good indeed. I love Him so, for so many reasons.

And, I'm also so thankful to be able to say that our beloved friend, aslaug, has made her way to us from far-off-and-away Norway, once again. What a delight it is to be with her--for all of us. How precious to know that Georgie will always be able to say that he's known aslaug his entire life. And, as you can clearly see, they are both quite smitten, off to a whopping good start in this life-long loving friendship they've got going.
The summer has been full and busy, with so much to tell, but so little time to tell it. I've been storing away photos which I'll save for that day that I hope is not too far off in the future, when I'm able to share with you all, again. Until then, I did want to come by for a loving hello and all is well, share our joy in the blessing of the newest little one's and aslaug's safe arrival/s, and a sincerest thank- you, for your kind and caring words of friendly hellos, love, and encouragement. I miss you guys, too. Thanks for being so sweet. Thanks for being so understanding.
I only hope it's not *too* shocking to anyone that I'm saying **so little** ;o) It was either this or nothing, and I did so want to share the little of the *big news* that I have been able, here and now. This said, I realize that some of you may be scratching your heads, thinking this has to be the posting of someone (entirely different from me) in my stead, and not actually (typically long-winded) me at all! So, for those of you doing and thinking just that, I say (with a grin), trust me, it's me--it really is--who, though (still, I assure you is) long on words, is merely woefully short on time ;o)
The Lord bless you and keep you, and yours.
Smiling, sending much love, and hoping to write again soon.
Lovingly, Jewels

Congratulations! So glad you were able to drop in for a quick little hello. I did - truly did - believe it was you. Babies have a way of taking our breath away - for some they even take the words right out of our mouths. ;)
He is absolutly beautiful; but if I were to see him face to face - I would tell him he is absolutely handsome and just think in my heart that he is beautiful. (That way his male image would still be in tack ;)
Congratulations on God's wonderful gift to your family; and thanks for sharing.
Blessings,
~Martie

How lovely! As the mother of four sons, tell her from me that sons are truly delightful things to have around the house. (They always love their Mum...)
Congratulations.

Dear Jewels, what precious, wonderful news! He is so beautiful. So sweet. Does it just seem so, or does he look like Maggie when she was just born? Or is it just the reddish hair? I read this post while holding my own precious treasure, Shira (7 months). Hope to read another update from you soon.

Dear Jewels,
Congratlations my sweet friend!!!
I am ever so happy for you, your hubby, and all of the rest of your family.
What a blessing to have another member added to your family. All babies are such a blessing, and such a loving little gift from God.
I can only imagine what a happy, loving, gentle and peacefull grandmother you are. Full of wisdom to be shared and given to your next generation. Times fill with such fun, to be had with the grandchildren. Holding, nurturing, loving, teaching, and so much more to these little one's, things like, how to make cookies, as most gradndmothes oft' do. The blessing of having so many playmates around as well.
Congratulations Jewels. I know you must be so happy.
Love & Prayers,
Ronda
